RICHARD DONOVAN Jr. is the son of Richard and Honora O’Brien Flanigan Donovan. He was born in 1856 in Garryowen, Jackson County, Iowa.

Richard never married. He worked at New Melleray Abbey for many years, and that is where he died in 1934.

Richard is buried in the cemetery at St. Patrick Church, Garryowen, Iowa.
