GERALD DONOVAN is the son of Richard and Blanche Johnson Donovan. He was born September 12, 1934.

Gerald married Joan Dougherty (born December 26, 1933). They had four children:

• Daniel (1956–1973)
• David is married.
• Dennis married Julie Leken. They have two children:
  • Holly
  • Daniel
• Mary Kay Donovan Dencklau

Gerald passed away on January 6, 2001. Joan passed away on January 23, 2019. They are interred at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa.
