ARLENE McCARTHY is the daughter of Vern and Rita Donovan McCarthy. She was born on April 4, 1937.
On September 14, 1957, Arlene McCarthy and Richard “Dick” Henneberry (son of Michael Vincent and Catherine Flanigan Henneberry) were united in marriage at St. Patrick’s Church, Garryowen, Iowa. They farmed near Garryowen on the Seven Generation Farm established in 1845. There, they raised their nine children:

Dick preceded Arlene in death, passing away on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Arlene passed away at home on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024, surrounded by her family, who loved her dearly. Dick and Arlene are buried at St. Patrick Cemetery, Garryowen, Iowa.
